SEO · New Zealand
Be the business Google recommends.
When someone in your town searches for what you do, one of three things happens: they find you, they find your competitor, or they ask an AI and it chooses for them. SEO is how you make sure the answer is you, this month and every month after. We’re a Wellington SEO company that explains it in plain English, for a fixed monthly fee.

How Kiwis find businesses now
Google is still the front door. AI is the new side door.
Search hasn’t gone anywhere. But the way people ask has changed, and businesses that don’t show up in both places are quietly losing work they never knew was there.
The good news: the same things that make Google trust you make the AI recommend you.
What we actually do
Six jobs, done every month, explained without the jargon.
Own your town
Google Business Profile, maps, reviews, and the NZ directories that matter. This is where most local enquiries come from, and most businesses have never set it up properly.
Fix the site
Speed, structure, page titles, schema markup, internal links. The plumbing that decides whether Google can understand you at all.
Answer the questions
Service pages, location pages and guides that answer what your customers actually type. Written in your voice, reviewed by you.
Earn the authority
Links and mentions from real NZ sites, directories and press. No bought links, no networks, nothing that gets you burned in the next update.
Be quotable to AI
Clear facts, consistent details, structured data, answer-first pages. So when ChatGPT or Google’s AI is asked for a recommendation, it has every reason to name you.
Report in one page
Every month: what we did, what moved, what’s next, and how many people called or enquired. Two minutes to read. No 40-page PDF.
What to expect
SEO compounds. Here’s the honest timeline.
- Months 1–3
Foundations and quick wins
Business Profile optimised, technical fixes live, first content published, reviews flowing. Map-pack visibility usually improves first.
- Months 3–6
Rankings move
Service and location pages start ranking for the searches that matter. Enquiries from search become measurable.
- Months 6–12
It compounds
Authority builds, content keeps working, and every new page ranks faster than the last. This is where SEO gets cheaper than ads.

Typical NZ SEO retainers run $750–$1,500 a month for local work and $1,500–$3,500 for competitive markets (NZ Digital SEO pricing guide, 2026). Our fee comes in under that because our engine does the repetitive parts fast, and because a small business shouldn’t need a marketing department to afford SEO. You’ll have the number in writing before anything starts.
Case study
Forty-five pages, organised around what patients search, not the org chart.
Pulse Health needed a site that explained vascular procedures calmly, took real bookings and ran a compression-garment store. We built the whole thing condition-first, so a patient searching a symptom lands on a page that answers it, and so does Google.

Straight answers
SEO questions, answered without the acronyms.
How long does SEO take to work?
Foundations and quick wins land in the first month. A properly set up Google Business Profile alone can move the phone. Rankings for competitive searches typically shift over three to six months and compound from there. Anyone promising page one in a fortnight is either lying or about to get you penalised.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and neither can anyone else. Google doesn’t sell them. What we guarantee is the work: every month you get a one-page report showing exactly what we did, what moved, and what’s next.
Do I need a new website first?
Not always. If your site is sound we’ll build on it. If it’s slow, thin or impossible to edit, SEO spend is pouring water into a cracked bucket and we’ll say so. We’ll tell you which after a free look.
What is local SEO?
Being the business that shows up when someone nearby searches “plumber Tauranga” or “physio near me”: the map pack, your Google Business Profile, reviews, directory listings and a website that names your suburbs and services plainly. For most small businesses it is the highest-return marketing there is.
What about ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers?
79% of New Zealanders used AI in the past year, and 58% use it at least weekly (InternetNZ Aotearoa Internet Insights, 2025). When they ask an AI who to call, it reads websites, reviews and directories to decide. The same clear facts, structure and reputation that make Google trust you make the AI recommend you, so it’s part of every plan, not an add-on with a new acronym.
Do you write the content?
Yes. Service pages, location pages, guides that answer the questions your customers type. You review everything and it’s written in your voice. Nobody wants a plumber who sounds like a whitepaper.
Is there a contract?
Month to month after the first three, which is the minimum for the work to show. If we’re not earning our fee, you should be able to leave.
